Sporting Targets High Tower Challenge – Summer 2012

Sporting Targets are once again running their legendary High Tower challenge from June 1st to July 31st this year.  This two month long competition is sponsored by Hull Cartridges and CCI Clays and pits shooters against the two giant high towers at the Bedfordshire shooting ground.  Over 50 targets thrown from the 110ft and 60ft towers, competitors can use ‘No Limit’ loads to win prizes spread across multiple classes.

I spent a day at the ground recently, and fired an awful lot of shells at these awesome tower targets – with varying level of success. These towers give a whole new meaning to the words ‘high birds’!

The High Gun prize for this event is £250 with Cash prizes from 1st to 4th place for Pro Class (CPSA AAA and AA) and Open Class (CPSA A and Below). CPSA B and below will win Cartridge prizes from 1st to 4th place.

There is no need to book on for the High Tower Challenge which costs £19.50 for members and £20.50 for non-members – so there is a golden opportunity to shoot this during the Jack Pyke Open.  The challenge can be re-entered as well, if you think you can add a few targets onto your score.

ShootClay will be at Sporting Targets to give this one a go – hope to see you all there!

Full details are on the attached High Tower Challenge 2012 flyer and at the Sporting Targets Website.
