EJ Churchill and Clay Shooting Magazine have announced details of the Clay Shooting Classic – taking place from the 5th to 8th of June at EJ Churchill Shooting Ground in Lane End, Buckinghamshire.
This year – the Classic has acquired a great new sponsor with Edgar Brothers supporting the event with £15,000 of guns into the total prize pot of £35,000 – making this the richest independent clay shooting championship in Europe – as well as the biggest.
Once again – the Classic will be shot across two 75 bird courses with a variety of targets to challenge the best shooters but allow shooters of all abilities to be involved. For the first time in 2013 shooters will be offered £5 cash back on the day if they shoot the event using fibre wads, reducing the cleanup efforts afterwards.
Over four days the event will have its usual opening day of the Services Classic as well as the Club Team Classic giving teams of three to compete for a new Promatic Falcon trap for their Shooting Club as well as a simulated game day courtesy of the EJ Churchill team.
Entries for 2013 are £89 – with prizes down to tenth place in all the classes as well as down to fourth place in Ladies, Juniors, Vets and Colts.
