ShootClay News – June 19th
Morning all, stumbling headlong towards Friday – and time to get shooting again.
Looking forward to next weekend, the FITASC GB COMPAK Grand Prix takes place at the fantastic Barbury Shooting Ground, nr Marlborough. If you didn’t attend this last year, you really missed out on a fantastic event. The Grand Prix is set over 5 layouts comprising 25 targets each, and the team at Barbury put on an excellent set of targets last year. Coupled with the hospitality at the ground, this event had a brilliant atmosphere. There will also be a 100 bird sporting competition running alongside the main event, so there is a full day of shooting available at this excellent ground. I hope to see you there. Full details of how to enter are at the Barbury website.
I posted a review yesterday of Honesberie (Hill Farm), which is a new registered shooting ground on the circuit in the South East. Well worth checking out an excellent ground with good hospitality and most importantly a great set of targets. You can read my full review online here.
This weeks episode of ClayShooting.tv is now online – we’re still working on how we can bring that directly to ShootClay readers, but for now I would recommend heading over to clayshooting.tv to watch weekly coverage from the clay shooting world, including footage of the super six final at the World English Sporting Championships, featuring some great commentary.
That’s it for today – will be back tomorrow with an end of week wrap-up and some highlights of the weekend to come. Until then, COME ON ENGLAND!
