Whilst shooters tackled the English Open, George Digweed was adding to his honour roll by winning the European Compak in a sudden death shoot-off against Andras Szerdahelyi in Budapest.

An amazing display of shooting had seen George sitting on 150ex150 after three days of challenging targets. On Sunday George dropped 2 targets, leaving him on 198ex200.

However, local shooter Andras was sitting on 148ex150 after three days, and needed to card a perfect score to draw level and force a shootoff. This bought the tournament level, with a sudden death shoot-off. The British shooter held his nerve and won the competition, taking his 15th European title.

Fantastic shooting – congratulations George on another big win!

Other notable GB results from Hungary : Jamie Brightman on 188ex200, Paul Batchelor on 187ex200, Martin Papworth on 185ex200, Cheryl Hall on 184ex200.
