One of the biggest events of the year is now in the calendar – it’s looking to be an almighty four days of shooting at the 2012 Clay Shooting Classic.  This huge event will be held at the 5000 acre West Wycombe estate in Buckinghamshire from the 6th to the 9th of June – over 150 targets across two courses of 75.

The event starts on 6th June with the Services and Gamekeepers day and then the main event starts on 7th June, last years Classic was won by Ben Husthwaite – who walked away with the lions share of huge prize fund. This year, the usual sponsors of CCI, Promatic and Eley Hawk will be joined by Perazzi who are adding an MX12 Sporter worth £7500 to the HG prize of 2000 Eley Cartridges. The overall prize fund is £50,000 – with prizes all the way down to 10th place in all the classes, as well as prizes to 4th place in Ladies, Juniors, Veterans and Colts.

Entry fees are £84 for 150 birds – with the Services and Gamekeepers day subsidised to bring that down to £49.  Full details and entries can be made at www.ejchurchill.com/classic

Once again – this looks like it will be a massive event – ShootClay are aiming to be there, to shoot and to cover the final day.
